My Son My Hero is a
poignant and inspiring true story of a brave
twenty-seven-year-old NYC Firefighter, named Christopher
Mozzillo, who lost his life at the World Trade Center.
Author
Michael Mozzillo, knew that before his son perished at the Trade
Center, he was a part of the biggest rescue effort in the
history of the world.
On 9/11/2001, Christopher Mozzillo helped
save 25,000 lives: this is the story of a true American hero.
Michael and his son made it a point every evening to tell each
other about their day. After Chris’s death, Michael replaced
their talks with writing to his son every night. The excerpts
from his journals reveal the tragic pain and difficult recovery
process that he and his family faced, as well as the acts of
kindness shown from people all over the world, and his
perspective on the operations at the Trade Center recovery site.
This loving memoir takes you through Chris’s life and shares his
generous spirit with the world.
