Michael and his son made it a point every evening to tell each other about their day. After Chris’s death, Michael replaced their talks with writing to his son every night. The excerpts from his journals reveal the tragic pain and difficult recovery process that he and his family faced, as well as the acts of kindness shown from people all over the world, and his perspective on the operations at the Trade Center recovery site. This loving memoir takes you through Chris’s life and shares his generous spirit with the world.

 

About the Author

Michael Mozzillo wrote this book as a remembrance to his heroic son, Christopher, who has always been an inspiration to him. He is currently retired after having worked as a NYC Firefighter and a Fire Safety Director at the World Trade Center. Michael is currently writing a new book called, The Fathers of Ground Zero; he lives on Staten Island, New York with his wife, Lydia.
